Happy Birthday, Taylor Swift

 

Can't call myself a Swifties, nor did i listen to her latest album. (except her old songs  which she re-recorded).

But her songs allowed me and my precious surroundings,to sing a long like we're on a karaoke. Because her songs consist of fun, sad, pain, happy, and it comforts many. 

Every time i listen to her songs, this sentiment always comes up: I'm proud of her. Merasa kagum. Oh i know she's a song genious. (ditambah sifatnya yang jenaka kalo lagi interview,,)

But allow me to say this.. 

Dear Taylor, it astonish me how you can accept your feelings-- happy, sad, anger, fear, annoyed, love-- then wrap it, cooked it and it became art. Without feeling shame, you share and published your feelings which then touch, and comforts many. Oh I'm one of them. 

Your songs is my anthem, tho. Your songs accompany me since junior high, senior high school dan segala kegalauannya. Menemani aku di hari-hariku ngejar tugas presentasi di jaman kuliah. Even lately when i'm on a night drive alone, i'll make sure i tune to your songs. I even saved your "old taylor swift songs!!!!" playlist on spotify (thanks to the cool person who made it) . Karena buat aku, nyaman dan seru sekali denger lagu-lagu lamamu. Kadang gelora-nya masih mirip sama geloraku saat jaman smp dan sma, xixixixi. 

I have a lot of precious friends, and your songs is one of my bestfriend too. So are we technically,,,, a ,, bff?? Lulz.

Another things that joys me is the fact that through your songs, i can connect to my friends. Especially with my bestfriends. They introduced me to your songs, then we'd singalong (loudly and) happily through our car trips, through our pain, through our happiness, through the time we missed and fall for someone!

Attending your concert is  one of my bucket list! Can't stop imagining the day i get to singalong to to your songs, with the crowd, and with you,,,,,,,.  i'm confident to sing loudly the way i sang at EXO Concert haha. 

From Crazier in 2008, to Love Story in 2010, then Enchanted and Long Live (my forever Banda Neira trip soundtrack). The Best Day.. where you talked about your father, and also the first time i got hit by a car, that time (maybe it happened because) i was too happy jamming to Blank Space. And even now.. All too Well.

can we talk about All too Well a little bit????? god this songs... is a masterpiece, uhm hello?!? i previously listened to the shorter version but it doesn't hit me the way 10 minutes version did?!? Dear Taylor, you said "Who would want to listen to an original 10 minutes songs, right?" Uhm, mbak, misiiii, i do! Even i prefer the 10 minutes version rather than the shorter version. The 10 minutes version holds more emotion, and it's also original, you wrote it while you're jamming to a chord when you're not feeling good at all that day.. and that made me feel sad every time i listened to it padahal yah.. gue nggak lagi jatuh cinta dan tidak sedang sakit hati seperti yang ada di liriknya. Mungkin ini ya yang dinamakan empati.. I feel sad imagining the 21 year old Taylor who went through all of that sadness.. ((sama sempet agak kebawa emosi dengan oknum pemeran utama lagu all too well)

But dear taylor, i hope you happiness and health. I hope you can keep producing music and wrote songs and i can't wait.  Once again, happy birthday Tay <3
